This is an outline of the costs that you can expect to have during the surrogacy process, whether you intend to be independent or use an agency.  This is intended to give you an overall view of the expenses. In order to keep it simple, there are many specific charges included in each estimated amount. There will be separate additional fees associated if you intend to use donor eggs, sperm, or embryos. These are general estimates, as the exact charges will vary depending on the rates of the attorneys, physicians, specialists, and surrogate that you select.  These amounts are paid directly to the providers. Legal Fees:  $4,500 - $7,200 - Drafting and Finalization of your contract. - Filing for and establishing parentage. - Surrogate's legal representation during contracting. - Fund Management Surrogate Screening:  $1,500 - $2,500 - Initial medical testing - Psychological examinations Insurance Premiums:  $3,000 - $4,000 (Applicable only if surrogate doesn't have current coverage.) - Life insurance - Medical Insurance to cover the pregnancy, delivery, and recovery.
